I'm Karen Drydyk and I am your At-Large Senator. This means I represent the entire student body (Esker, Drumlin, and Off-Campus students). I am majoring in Secondary English Education and minoring in Secondary Speech Education. I see my role as a senator as a specifically "representative" role. I want to represent you and keep you informed. If there is anything you would like me to have your student government do for you, let me know. I founded the student organization Peace, Education, and Activism through Creative Engagement (P.E.A.C.E.) here at UW - Whitewater my freshman year. I am interested in making advising and Advisement Reports more accessible for you. I hope to represent you well!

Samuel Gilbert

Hi, my name is Samuel Gilbert. This year is my first year living off-campus and I am enjoying it! I am a senior and my major is political science. I am from Flossmoor, IL and I am a huge White Sox fan! My interests are music, baseball and politics. In addition to being in student government, I have also been in College Democrats, Students for a Fair Wisconsin, and P.E.A.C.E. I was the treasurer of College Democrats for 3 ½ years. I was very active in last year’s election and I now wish to serve as a voice for the students of Whitewater. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Stephen Jansen

My name is Stephen Jansen and I am Senator representing the Esker District. I am nearing my 3rd year as a Senator and it has been an honor serving my constituents. For my internal student government committees I have been on the Constitutional Revision Committee, the WSG Budget Committee, and the Academic Affairs Committee. I have previously served on the Legislative Affairs Committee as well. However, as a Senator my representation extends beyond the realm of organizational duties. I also serve on several external committees with university officials. I currently represent the student body on the LGBT Committee and the Affirmative Action Committee. I have previously served on the PLAN 2008 Committee. My primary goal is to defend student rights, empower the student body, give a legitimate voice to student concerns, and to rest assured that the needs of the student body are met. If you have any questions, ideas or concerns feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you to improve the quality of student life and to make the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater a better place.
